June 30th Celebration

A highlight of Christ Church’s 2019 commemorative observance will take place at 10:00 am on June 30th as we observe the 250th anniversary of our historic church building with a special celebration.

The worship service will be celebrated by our Bishop, the Reverend William (Chip) Stokes, and will feature special music by St. Gregory’s Choir and our performing artists in residence, the five-member vocal group MadRegalia.

The a cappella group will perform sacred pieces by Palestrina, Billings, Stroope and Todd that align with the church’s history and celebrate our future.

There will also be an exhibit of images of the church through the centuries in photography and art (see below).

Following the service, there will be a luncheon and reception for the Bishop, parishioners and guests at the Parish House on Sycamore Avenue.

This event is free and open to the public. More information at christchurchshrewsbury.org.
