OUR MISSION<\/strong><\/p>

To create a welcoming and inclusive interfaith prayer community where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities can explore their spirituality, share in communal worship, and find belonging and joy.<\/p>

WHOM WE SERVE<\/strong><\/p>

We welcome everyone to join us as we seek to grow and nurture each person\u2019s spiritual life in community. We craft The Gatherings<\/strong> specifically for adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities who may live in group homes, attend respite programs, live at home, or not have the opportunity to participate in a traditional prayer service.<\/p>

WHAT HAPPENS AT A GATHERING?<\/strong><\/p>

A LOT!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>

The Gathering<\/strong> always begins with music. Together we sing music with upbeat tempos and repetitive verses.<\/p>

\u00a0As a God-centered, interfaith prayer gathering, we draw upon different faith traditions as we offer our prayers, thanking God for making us all special, asking for God\u2019s help in making us kind, and for the needs of the members of our communities.\u00a0<\/p>

Each Gathering will also include a brief topic for discussion, helping us understand our relationship with God and with one another.<\/p>

There will be recognition of birthdays and other celebrations.<\/p>

Each Gathering ends with another song, followed by a light snack and some fellowship time for socializing.<\/p>

The second Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>

The third Wednesday of each month at 11:30 <\/u><\/em><\/strong>a.m.<\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/p>
